Foldersizes (Repack & Portable) – A useful utility from Key Metric Software for monitoring and analysis of disk space, as well as its individual directory.
A common problem that many users of devices running Windows is faced with is a lack of a hard drive space. This usually happens after 5-6 months of using a brand new computer. Often, most of the space is filled with unnecessary trash, which will no longer be needed.
We must find out how and where all the free place on the hard drive has disappeared, which applications and files occupy it.
To answer these and other similar questions, you can use a utility called Foldersizes. Using this software, we can analyze the use of disk space and easily find the largest files that are in a specific folder.
The easiest way is to choose a targeted or folder on a hard drive, then using Foldersizes to analyze this selected folder. After a few seconds, you can see the contents of the folder located in size. First, the largest files or folders are displayed, and then less shown. Files that are really huge are shown in red. The analysis can be shown in the format of a simple list, histogram, in the form of a circular diagram or in the format of a folder card.
The results can be exported as an HTML file, CSV database, simple text file, XML database, PDF document or in Excel tables. Using Foldersizes, you can quickly determine which of the folders occupies most of the entire available disk space.
Possessing this information, the user has the opportunity to decide to delete these folders manually, or files related to this folder.
